| Function: Increases strength in the arms, shoulders and back, while promote flexibility of lower limbs & whole body. Instructions: Seated Chest Press 1. Roll the wheelchair forward to the equipment & brake the wheelchair when close to the bending bars; 2. Sit upright in the wheelchair with the back vertical and step both feet onto the pedals; 3. Firmly grip both handles; 4. In a slow and controlled manner pull down until hands are at chest height; 5. Slowly return to the start position; 6. Breaths out as you pull down, inhale as you return to the start position; 7. Increase repeats as strength improves. Upper Limbs Trainer 1. Roll the wheelchair forward to the equipment & brake the wheelchair when close to the bending bars; 2. Sit with body vertical to the seat and take hold of both grips with hands; 3. Push backward to move the whole body & wheelchair back and then pull forward to move the body & wheelchair onward; 4. Increase repeats as fitness improves; 5. Make a slow & controlled manner during movement. |
